Downtown Austin Alliance seeks Executive Director for Movability Austin, the region’s Transportation Management Association

It’s an exciting time to be a part of downtown Austin. In a city consistently at the top of the “best-of” lists, downtown provides the heart and soul that keeps Austin authentic and interesting, livable yet exciting. The Downtown Austin Alliance has spent more than two decades advocating for and contributing to improvements that have helped shape this vibrant place that has gone from a quiet college town to vibrant city on the global map.

As Austin grows, so do the opportunities at our organization. The Downtown Austin Alliance is adding an Executive Director for Movability Austin to our dedicated team. We are looking for a natural collaborator who is a leader with a strategic mindset and strong leadership skills.

Movability Austin, Central Texas’ regional Transportation Management Association, is searching for an Executive Director who can lead the organization through an accelerated period of growth developing leadership, staff, business, and key partnerships throughout the region. Led by a strong Board of Directors and managed by the Downtown Austin Alliance, the ideal candidate will help shape and articulate a compelling vision and will bring a strategic mindset coupled with strong management and communication skills to the position. Movability Austin is growing and has an active and engaged Board of Directors, and its vision and mission to help be part of the transportation solutions for the region is exciting.

The Austin DMO, Inc. (d/b/a Downtown Austin Alliance) is a non-profit, 501(c)(4) corporation dedicated to increasing the value and vitality of downtown Austin. The organization is engaged in myriad projects and issues that contribute to the safety, cleanliness, beautification, accessibility, and appeal of downtown Austin for the enjoyment of residents, employees, and visitors. Broadly speaking, the organization’s vision and voice are manifest in two primary ways. The first way is through advocacy and engagement in planning decisions that impact downtown. The second way is through direct services that supplement city services of cleanliness and safety. The areas of focus include promoting economic development, recruiting appropriate retail businesses, improving access and mobility, addressing key safety and cleanliness issues, partnering to revitalize parks and green spaces, and fostering the success of arts, entertainment and cultural events and programs in downtown Austin. Movability Austin 

Movability Austin is a 501(c)(6) organization dedicated to helping commuters do more with their time by finding mobility options that work for them. As the only Transportation Management Association in Central Texas, Movability Austin works with employers and employees to enhance mobility and improve economic vitality through customized transportation consulting services, networking and leadership opportunities.
