Movability’s Alix Scarborough Wins ACT Award

Every year the prestigious Association for Commuter Transportation (ACT) gives “40 Under 40” awards to ambitious leaders working to find creative solutions to improve the quality of life of commuters and the livability of communities. This year we’re proud to announce that Movability’s own Program Manager Alix Scarborough is a recipient!

ACT award winners are developing transportation demand management (TDM) programs that are shifting behavior and creating a long-lasting change within their community.

As a program manager overseeing membership, Alix consults with downtown employers to turn mobility challenges into tools that help them meet business goals like recruitment and retention. She works with companies and agencies around the greater Austin area to develop and implement mobility plans that align with their business interests.

“The work that ACT does helps us make TDM a reality for our own members. I’m honored to be in the company of innovative individuals helping employers and commuters find better ways to navigate their cities,” Alix says.

Way to go, Alix!

ACT also recognized Movability Austin recently in its newest publication “Partnerships for Success: A Spotlight on Transportation Management Associations”.  Movability is one of three transportation management associations highlighted in that report the role TMAs play in helping communities deliver transportation options that benefit commuters and employers, commuters, and residents.  In a webinar coming up on October 31, Alix will be presenting information about Movability’s role in Austin – if you’re interested in learning more, register here!
