Fall Means Festivals and Football!

Now that the weather is cooling off (at least hypothetically), there are lots of fun activities taking place in Austin. Luckily, there are also a lot of mobility options to help you get to them without worrying about traffic jams and parking.

If you’re planning on going to the Austin City Limits festival, check out this great guide that the Austin Transportation Department put together. Free shuttles to ACL from Republic Square Park, located downtown at 5th and Guadalupe streets, will also run continuously each day of the festival, starting at 10:30 a.m.

Going to some of the Longhorn games? A lot of the same options will get you there hassle-free. Austin B-Cycle has three stations near campus. And Bike UT offers a bike corral for free bike parking at San Jacinto and 23rd Streets. Don’t forget the Longhorn Shuttle!

The Texas Book Festival is also coming up, and takes place on part of N. Congress Ave., part of 11th Street, and a portion of Colorado St. around the Texas Capitol. Since it’s in the heart of downtown, getting there by bus, bike, or rideshare is a snap!
