We’ll be Popping Up Again Soon!

alley breakfast pic collageWe had a great time at our Pop-Up Commuter Breakfast at the Art Alliance Austin’s 20FT WIDE alley conversion project. We were blown away by how many of you joined us. Next time, we will be bringing more breakfast along to reward all of you savvy commuters!

Mark your calendars for the next Pop-up Commuter Breakfast – Friday, May 17 – as Movability Austin joins the Downtown Austin Alliance and the City of Austin’s Art in Public Places program on Bike to Work Day to reward commuters while dedicating a new art piece by Ben Harman called Gear Grove. Breakfast begins at 8am at 816 Congress Ave.

Gear Grove is an exciting bike rack sculpture project by Ben Harman who used recycled bike parts to form three spires connected by supports reminiscent of bicycle crossbars. The project was initiated by the Downtown Austin Alliance (DAA) which worked with City of Austin’s Art in Public Spaces program to fulfill the dream of having uniquely designed, durable bike rack sculptures downtown, as well as providing amenities for eco-friendly transportation and encouraging residents and visitors to spend more time downtown.

We look forward to seeing you there! RSVP for the event here.
