Did you know that the average person breathes in 3,000 gallons of air each day? Inside that breath are all kinds of toxic particles, many of which come from vehicle emissions. Does your daily commute add to that pollution or reduce it?
April is the beginning of ozone season and you can do your share to spare the air by participating in Commute Solution’s Commuter Challenge! This is a great time to try an alternate commute such as riding the bus, taking the train, carpooling, vanpooling, walking, biking, or teleworking. You can save money, help keep our air cleaner, and have a chance to win great prizes while participating in the Commuter Challenge.
The Commuter Challenge runs from April 1 through April 19. All you need to do is log your trips to be entered for a chance to win! Prizes include a Nike+ SportWatch, Kindle Fire, iPod nano, and more! Each alternate commute logged during the three-week Challenge counts as a separate entry. So the more you do, the greater your chances of winning a prize. You can also track cost savings, fuel saved, calories burned, and pollution reduced all in the MyCommuteSolutions site. To join the Challenge, go to the myCommuteSolutions website, register, and start logging your trips. Existing myCommuteSolutions users will just need to sign in and log your commute. It’s free, easy and fun!
