Join the Movement to Work From Home…

… and improve the serious traffic congestion in Central Texas!

PrintRecently, a bunch of civically minded individuals had a great idea–to pick a day to declare “Work From Home Day”. That day is tomorrow, February 8th.

Thus far the City of Austin, Travis County, Austin Community College, Dell, AMD, and about a dozen other employers have agreed to let their employees pledge to telecommute. We hope to see a bunch of volunteers get Austin’s workforce together in joining them by telecommuting, which will improve the traffic congestion in Central Texas.

You can become one of the 10,000 people we hope will work from home. Sign the pledge and spread the word and invite your friends via Facebook!

Did you know?

  • Employees who work from home can be more productive and happier than those in the office.
  • Getting 10,000 more people working from home can help improve congestion and air quality.
  • Work From Home Day makes for a great test run, allowing employers to see if working from home is an option for their employees.
  • Allowing employees to work from home can save businesses real money on parking, office space, and more!

Ask your boss, manager, team leader if you can work from home.  If you need help, just let us know!
